On January 9, 2004, the Purple Martin community lost a great friend, Bill Darnell from Savannah, TN. He truly was a kind and gentle man, who freely shared his knowledge and ideas. I had the pleasure of becoming good friends with Bill and I will miss him dearly. He is now flying freely with the Purple Martins and will be forever. I will miss you, Bill. Bon Voyage.
