Brian Naughton of Alabama designed this 5 holer entrance. It gives the babies more opportunity to share the entrance hole hoping to be fed, while also, keeping starling at bay. The 5 holer plate is designed for houses, but can be mounted onto tunnels. The tunnels must be made from 4" PVC sewer and drain pipe, heated, and flattened on the bottom so that they will be wide enough to accomodate the width of the entrance hole. The entrance hole, itself, is 4" wide. The standard plate I make is 3" tall and 5" wide. If you are going to mount them to tunnels, please let me know when you order so that I can make the height the plate at least 4". The tunnels can be made by taking 4" PVC sewer and drain pipe, cutting it to the length you want, heating it in an oven @ 350 degrees for 2 minutes. Then, you must clamp the soften pipe between two pieces of 1" X 4" until cool. After mounting the plate to the tunnel, the excess will need to be trimmed away with a dremel tool, sharp knife, or anything else that will do the job. A porch will also need to be added if mounting to a tunnel. I will not be making the tunnels. All orders will be special order only, unless the demand is great enough for me to make and carry a reasonalble amount of stock. The plates will sell for $2.50 each plus S&H.
