Louis Harper of Andover, KS makes some exquisite Purple Martin Weathervanes. I have one and think that the workmanship is top notch. Please do not be put off by the price, as these are very professionally done and would a fantastic addition to any Martin lover's colony site or home place. I have one of the larger ones that has 3 martins perched, one soaring, and golden colored Compass points. It measures 26 1/2" from the tip of the arrow to the back of the arrow. It is 27" tall, not including the mount. The mount of your choice comes with the weathervane. I, personally, would recommend this to any Martin lover. Make a hint to your loved one when it comes around to birthday, anniversary, or Christmas time. You will not be dissappointed.
